Synthetic
In general, synthetic clothing should be washed in cold or warm water max 30 ºC never hot to prevent shrinkage, pilling, and damage to elasticity.
Use a gentle or delicate cycle with a mild liquid detergent, avoiding bleach and harsh chemicals. Fabric softeners should be avoided as they can clog synthetic fibres and reduce moisture wicking properties. For added protection, especially for delicate items, consider using a mesh laundry bag during the wash.
After washing, it’s best to air dry garments by hanging or laying them flat. Ironing is usually not required for synthetic materials, but if needed, use the lowest heat setting and a pressing cloth. Additionally, because synthetic fabrics shed microplastics during washing, using a microfiber-catching laundry bag or installing a washing machine filter can help reduce environmental impact.
